Meet our 2023 Resident Playwright Keiko Inexperienced!
Keiko is an award-winning playwright, screenwriter, and performer. She is a Core Firm Member at ACT Theatre in Seattle and beforehand a resident playwright at each Theatre Mu’s new play incubator the Mu Tang Clan, in addition to Seattle Rep’s Writers Group. Her performs have been developed and/or produced by the O’Neill Nationwide Playwrights Convention, ACT Theatre, the Kennedy Heart, Nationwide New Play Community, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Cygnet Theatre, Playwrights Realm, and Actors Specific. As an actor, Keiko has carried out on the Denver Heart of Performing Arts, Seattle Repertory Theatre, ACT Theatre, and the Nationwide Asian American Theatre Firm, amongst others. She holds a BFA from NYU’s Experimental Theatre Wing and can obtain her MFA in Playwriting from UC San Diego this June. Her performs vary from coming-of-age comedies to large-concept horror and all the things in between, exploring the sudden connection between individuals from completely different backgrounds, in addition to the inner tensions held inside our our bodies. She holds commissions from the Outdated Globe and ACT Theatre. Keiko is represented by the Gersh Company and Nameless Content material.
We’re very excited to be working with Keiko this season. As our resident playwright, two of her performs can be featured in our OTR New Works Sequence. The primary of which — Unique Lethal: Or, The MSG Play would be the first new play studying of 2022!
