In
September of 1870, G.W. Barter of the agency Hamilton & Barter, which
have been publishing the “Each day Star”, retired from his submit there and
began his personal paper, the “Anaheim Gazette.” He purchased the outdated press
from the “Star” which had initially got here from the “Wilmington Journal”
as effectively….this press was historic however labored and acquired the paper going.
Sadly, in 1877, the unique constructing for the “Gazette” burned down and
with it went it is outdated press.
ANAHEIM HIGH SCHOOL
The
first Anaheim Excessive College, Circa 1901. Quoted from the Anaheim Public
Library archives, it states: “Anaheim Excessive College, in-built 1901, the
first highschool in-built Anaheim district and third in Orange County;
situated at 608 W. Heart Road (later Lincoln Ave.); offered to the
elementary college district in 1911; demolished 1937 and have become website of
Fremont Junior Excessive College, which closed in 1979 and was demolished in
1980.”

THE COMMERCIAL HOTEL
The
Business Resort, situated at 182 West Heart Road (now Lincoln
Avenue) on the nook of Lemon Road. It was initially generally known as the
Anaheim Resort, constructed by Henry Kroeger (2nd Mayor of Anaheim). When Max
Nebelung bought the lodge within the late Nineties, he modified the identify to
