Cllr Amanda Townsend has advised how the focused campaigns of title calling, fat-shaming and fixed bullying of her character, quickly became bodily threats when she campaigned in her native space for the Labour Celebration.
The threats later turned so extreme that she feared for her life.
The Shildon councillor was talking at a Durham County Council assembly on Wednesday the place members agreed to endorse the Native Authorities Affiliation’s (LGA) Debate Not Hate marketing campaign.
