LONG delays have been reported in Stockton Heath after the swing bridge caught within the ice this morning.

The bridge has now reopened and the highway is cleared.
A Tweet from Warrington’s Personal Buses mentioned: “There are important delays on the 5, 5A, 6, 7, 8, 8A, 9B, 9, 9A, 62, 62A because of the swing bridge being caught within the open place.
“Buses are delayed and can divert by way of Gainsborough Street, Chester Street and Walton New Street.
“We apologise for any inconvenience triggered.”
The bridge on the A49 over the Manchester Ship Canal is because of be renovated subsequent 12 months by house owners Peel.
